Hello musicians! My name is Jessica Schubert and I am the founder of MusiCare Education, Inc.. It is such a privilege to spend each and every day doing what I love, shaping future musicians.
A little bit about me...
I was born and raised in Miami surrounded by musical opportunities. In second grade, my music teacher, Mr. Diez, inspired me to want to become a music teacher when I grew up. I attended Southwood Middle School (under the direction of Debbie Mar) and Coral Reef High School (under the direction of John Rose), both in the Chorus Magnet Programs. I was inspired each and every day by my teachers and friends. I attended Florida Gulf Coast University under the direction of Trent Brown, and graduated with a Bachelors of Music Education and a K-12 Music Teaching Certificate.
Interning at East Bay High School prepared me to land a job as the Choir Director at Orange Grove Middle Magnet School of the Arts in Tampa. The pandemic began just after my third week at Orange Grove. I have since built a K-8 music program at a private Christian school, grown my private music studio, began a community choir for homeschoolers, and will be adding an elementary music class and show choir for homeschoolers as well.
I believe in teaching the whole child, digging into what makes each shine as an individual. I value problem-solving, teamwork, and perseverance.
